Pro-Troops Rally Military Recruiter Station Times Square

'We Are Not Berkeley!'

A large group of patriots organized by The Gathering of Eagles New York Chapter came out in the pouring rain today in Times Square to support our troops in response to the despicable and cowardly bombing of the Military Recruiter station this week. We had a big tent set up and flags were flying everywhere. It was truly moving to see folks come out to stand by our brave fighting men and women.

The front glass and door frame was blown out from the explosion so metal plates were installed to protect the station. Personally, I can't wait until they catch the guy who did this.

Passersby of all kinds stopped by to thank us. Traffic going by honked their horns and gave the thumbs-up! Dozens of NYPD squad cars hit their lights and sirens and New York Fire Department trucks barreling through Times Square did the same.

Nice job. I was up in NYC yesterday for a meeting not far from Times Square. I'd wanted to swing by over there to take a look, but by the time my meeting got done, it was raining too damned hard, so the first car I could get I had take me back to LaGuardia. LaGuardia Marriott, to be precise, since my flight was canceled, and I ended up not flying home until this morning.

Nice to see such a turnout on such a crappy day!

Good work, Kiddo!

Saying "I love America!" is much like saying "I love Baha'u'llah!"

A chance to feel ember assed, but all for a good Cause!

Keep it up!

Thanks for showing what real Americans are like. The people that rallied are actually "THE BOMB". Not the destructive devise used by a coward who's to afraid to fight or debate face to face. What a pussy! But I'm sure he'll be popular in prison. And hopefully while incarcerated; he'll find the love and attention he didn't get from daddy, but so desperately craves -Mark

Early last year I stood with my Soldier next to this recruiting station. The significance of this recruiting station brought a chill up your spine - not much unlike standing at another location near this - 9/11 Ground Zero, or Arlington Cemetery.

It brought a chill to the spine to hear of what some moonbat radical decided to make his political statement to this "piece of American History".

It brings a tear to the eye to see the banner now on its face "ARE YOU ARMY STRONG?!" And the answer to those that enter the doors to this building to that question - YES WE ARE!

And to those that stood by in honor in rally to support those that enter these doors - a sincere THANK YOU....FOR ALL YOU DO!

Thanks to for the great post and supporting the Bravest Men and Women on this planet! I cannot be with you side by side due to distance...but am with you in heart and spirit.

If there were so many of you, then why no longshots to prove it?

Oh right, you don't want to show the ones in white sheets trying to burn a cross in the rain.

Fascist nutjobs.

Hey Boston Charlie - you support people who blow stuff up in the dark of night to further their violent agenda, and then call someone else a fascist?

You seriously need to educate yourself, and spend some quality time pondering the cause you've chosen to associate yourself with. You can carry on with your decadent, simple life and let a small number of dedicated volunteers do the difficult work. In the meanwhile, no one is asking anything of you other than to show some respect.

Hey...'Boston Charlie'.

You want to see a fascist nutjob?

Go look in the mirror.

You pathetic, racist, Nazi scumbag.

Thanks Boston Charlie. You just reminded me of how racist people such as yourself protested the efforts to preserve freedom in my former country.

Thanks to racists like you, who didn't think that us "yellow" people didn't deserve freedom from murdering communists, we get to see more innocent deaths.

I commend the American soldiers all of you white, black, hispanic, etc. who fought with my family and tried to win my country's freedom.

Unfortunately, it was the racist traitors like Boston Charlie who gave hope to the enemy to continue killing our people as well as yours resulting in the loss of freedom for people of different color as well as the "re-education" camps in Vietnam.

Boston Charlie, I see your racist ways are still alive now just as they were then.

G'day all; I'm an Aussie checking in to say 'well done' to all involved in the rally, and 'thanks' for the blog. I'm an ex-serviceman (wish I was still in, but the legs & back say otherwise) who had the privilege of serving beside the US military. Fine allies, fine people.

I now work in law enforcement, and would gladly work 'pro bono' to help catch the (insert expletive here) responsible.

While Boston Charlie posts stupid comments from his climate controlled environment, I was there, too. And it ROCKED. Boston Charlie wouldn't know what it's like to defend anything and be a proud American-in the rain. Boston Charlie probably hasn't evern confronted anything in his life.

Go burn your flag, BC. The rest of us will stand up against atrocities so you can keep your pathetic rights.

UI, I so wish I could have been there yesterday. Next one, for sure!

Though people like Boston Charlie may not believe in it, the USA is still the greatest country on the planet. What I don't understand, though, is that people like BC who claim to love freedom and tolerance are so hateful to those who disagree with him. I mean, isn't that just a LITTLE bit hypocritical?

God Bless the Troops and other Patriots, God Bless the Flag, and God Bless the USA!

I was one of the people there yesterday. Sorry, I dont have an account here. However, thank you all for your comments. It was a labor of love. I was an active Duty Marine in the late 70's and even that late after Vietnam, I was spat upon, had beer bottles thrown at me from passing cars, the works. I have vowed to not let that be done to these men in uniform now.

Hi,

Thank you for your support of our military recruiters. My husband and I were traveling in the northwest and saw some protestors. We wanted to do something to counter the protestors, so we made ourselves "I Support Our Military Recruiters" t-shirts and started wearing them everywhere. Many people liked them and wanted their own, and the recruiters appreciated them, so, the next thing you know, we have a little company whose sole business is to support our military recruiters. I would like to invite you to look at our site, RecruiterGear.com, and check out our products. It would be great if we could show our support all across the country and make sure all military recruiters know how many people in America support not just the troops, but also the recruiters.

Thank you again for supporting our recruiters.

Great job UI! You're amazing. Thank you for all you do.

I predict they will catch this vile terrorist monkey someday. Although, I wonder how hard the NYPD and the FBI are actually working on this. I imagine that for bombing a military facility he may qualify for a long residence in a military prison.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are well, good luck with your book.
