Glenn Beck Derangement Syndrome

Just a normal Sunday out in the park.
Took these today on a walk. I couldn't resist.

Glenn Beck is the new George W. Bush.

Bush is gone, so the Left now hates all conservative talk show host and conservatives themselves, who they've branded as "racists." They can't fight the truth in the message, so they are shooting the messengers. Pathetic.

The part that drives me nuts is if you ask if they've ever listened to what Glenn says, they say no. Then when you ask (like someone did) if they believe in this, that, and the other, they say yes. Then are gobsmacked when you tell them that's what Glenn talks about on his shows. Personally, I love me some Glenn Beck! Beck/Palin or Palin/Beck in 2012! ;-)

The real question we should ask ourselves is this, why aren't any republican members of the house or senate (who may be able to actually combat Obama's Marxism) not causing the same stink as Beck, Limbaugh and the ilk?

The "you lie" guy gave it a shot, but love for his job caused him to tuck tail and run.

The patriot masses can be stoked to action via the right wing media all the day long, but until the pansy appeasing members of our government grow a pair... well... the Marxist train rolls on.

Just sayin...

Beck is deranged! Anyone who can link Woodrow Wilson and Che Guevara has had too much of the brown acid.

Hey Steve! Not sure if you know this but Woodrow Wilson has been considered the first fascist of the 20th century, the Palmer raids, the suppression of dissent, the closing of newspapers, the list goes on and on. Never heard of this? I am not surprised. Linking Che and Wilson is just linking one "progressive" to another.

By the way, if you think this is just made up stuff, do a little research yourself.

Steve,

So it is OK to conduct raids against people who disagree with you politically as long as you consider them "radicals?"

I guess that explains the Bolshevik troika of Obama-Reid-Pelosi calling the town hall protesters radicals. Then, when they round them up and send them to the reeducation camps, you and your ilk will be satisfied that they were doing the right thing.

A political mood being contributed to from more than just one side. Do I need to link to video of Glenn Beck claiming that the President of the United States has a deep seated hatred for white people? Or perhaps the Texas Tea Parties where they called the President a Fascist, Nazi, Hitler, Pol Pot, et al?

I, for one, would like to see a return to civility in our politics but that's not going to happen so long as we continue to paint the extremists on both sides as being representative of the whole and that includes both Glenn Beck and the fashion-addled moron pictured above.

VLWC- your points are well taken. It's a pity the left had to start it all off with the deranged screeching over the last 8 years- beginning of course during W's first inauguration.

There's this one local folk musician we saw at an open mic night recently. He sings a comedic, Dylan-esque "protest" song about conservative commentators like O'Reilly, Coulter, Limbaugh, etc.

Some friends were shocked when I described it as cowardly because a protest song is supposed to rail against authority, not merely rant about citizens with whom you disagree politically.

The left has become a parody of itself.

Um, wow, Glenn Beck is a goddamn commentator, not a goddamn president, so what kind of a goddamn idiot would get their goddamn panties in such a goddamn tizzy over him.

(BTW, fuck Palin. She doesn't know shit about anything and she has no goddamn experience and we already know she can't handle criticism or handle the press.)

Yah. You need to link to that if you're going to bring it up. Else, I can just as easily say: "do I need to link to where you were arrested for child molestation?"

Alinsky works for anyone. You don't like the "tone", too fricken bad. Maybe you should have made your little bs speech 8 years ago.

So take you equivalence and stick it.

Fen - Thanks for contributing to the betterment of our political discourse and proving my point exactly. Perhaps there'll be a town hall in your area where you can better vocalize your ideas.

In fact, my 'speech' would have been better placed 16 years ago when Republicans were railing against the then-new Clinton presidency and screaming about Whitewater, Gennifer Flowers, etc. The temper tantrums of those eight years begat the Left doing the same thing to GWB. Regardless, blaming the other side for 'starting' it does not excuse continuing the cycle.

BTW, what's with the obsession with Alinsky? You an anarchist? Seems like something the Left would be into!

I guess you didn't bother to watch the segment. He didn't connect them in the sense that they had anything to do with each other, rather, he tied them as common roots to the radical left mentality. It is the kind of thinking that created the Weather Underground and the like. That was the point. Not that Che and Wilson had any direct connection to each other.

If you are going to spout off about something, then at least bother to do the required watching of the segment. If not, you are no better then the New York Times or 0bama.

Steve,

"The Palmer Raids were against Communists and other radicals."

Wrong, they were directed towards ANYONE who opposed WWI and Wilsons policys. Men were thrown in prison for writing letters to the editor and speaking their minds. You are just plain wrong on this one.

Wilson advocated having the presidency being all powerful. He wanted to rewrite the consitiution because we were past being individuals. That we needed to do what is right for the state and not individuals. Sound familiar?

You can close your eyes all you want but it is the truth. No matter how loudly you whistle past the grave yard.
