Israel and Gaza Demonstrations New York City
Here are photos of to the demonstrations that took place outside of the Israeli Consulate on 42nd Street and 2nd Avenue tonight. There was a very nice turnout of Israel supporters. There was also a pro-Palestine presence on the north side of the street. Unlike the pro-Israel folks, they were very loud and angry. Screaming, yelling, 'from the river to the sea!', whistles and bullhorns, it was heated. A couple of minor scuffles broke among the front lines of their throng. The situation felt somewhat explosive. This was not the side of the street I wanted to be on if things got out of hand. Thank God for the NYPD.
There's always a Mumia supporter.
I guess my main question is; Where the heck is Mayor Bloomberg on all this? All these masked creeps out in force in our town [the bullseye city] waving black flags of Islamic jihad on our streets for days--especially on the heels of the now infamous 'Death to All Juice' sign on public display right here on 5th Avenue--and he's building bike lanes and trying to reduce our salt intake.
Then there was this guy. He had a thing for me alright.
Like many others he was concealed behind a mask.Full of hate and not hiding it.

WOW! Great Job UI, you really captured this well, as always. In your last picture you very clearly caught that Jihadist sympathizer's eyes glaring at you. You can really see the hate, and the fear, in his eyes.
For EVERY missile shot into Israel at least ONE missile should be returned to the area as close as possible to the shooter. Tit for tat. Every single missile should be returned. Period. Treat them like adults, if they kill, they will be killed. That is the only way they will learn. Screw public opinion, force them to see the truth, or let them be damned.

Bigot, schmigot! My answer to your sophomoric whiny screed is that if al quaeda or the KKK were democratically elected, you would be okay with that. Gaza is hardly the image of freedom. What a joke. Christians that are being slaughtered today in the streets of your beloved Hamas-run Gaza. Why aren't you shrieking about that either?
Israelis has every right to defend themselves. The Palestinians are their own worst enemy. They walked away from every peace opportunity and meeting it instead with suicide bombers and thousands of random rockets--which can and do kill people. And if you want to talk about PURE EVIL then why don't you talk about the Hamas run TV stations that have kids shows featuring people in mickey mouse bunny and butterfly costumes teaching kids that suicide martrydom is the highest goal in life. That,is the PUREST EVIL that only Hitler could have topped.

Horrible post. Your photos of the Palestinian supporters are out of focus, blurry, and you cut out a lot of the signs and focus in on a lot of faces??? As for that last picture if someone was that close to my face taking photos I would be pissed as hell too-doesn't mean that person is full of hatred and is evil. You are a moron.

The photos were out of focus because the flash settings on my camera weren't working well. It is also very hard to shoot MOVING people, AT NIGHT, on a BUSY rush HOUR NYC street in Midtown, while cops are moving everyone along quickly. Ever try that?
I was there. You were not. The guy at the end was cursing at me like something out of the Exorcist and giving me and EVERYONE in front of him 'the finger.'

Israel has a right to self-defense, period. Hamas fires missile from schools and apartment buildings. They won’t allow civilians to leave the danger area. Hamas wants Palistinian civilians killed so they can get your sympathy. Israel repeatedly warns cilvilians in the area through phone calls and dropping leaflets. Hamas has no excuses.
People must realize that this is not a border dispute. Islamic Fundamentalists want ALL Jews dead and gone. Period.
The delusional insanity of many on the Left and a few on the Right about this is frightening. They ignore all facts and logic. Hamas, a terrorist organization killing the so-called Palestinians' hope for peace, are evil garbage, they must be eliminated. They have sent thousands, yes thousands of missiles into Israel over the past couple of years and Israel had never exercised their right of self-defense, until recently, when Hamas broke the ceasefire and started firing rockets again.
Israel is FINALLY doing the right thing. If Hamas is destroyed, then, if the rest of the 'Palestinians' really want peace they can give up their dream of destroying Israel, if not, they will never have peace.
Israel must destroy as much of Hamas as possible before the MSM and the idiots and ignorants whine loud enough for them to stop. They must only quit when they are ready.

I know this post was posted a long time ago, but I just stumbled upon. As a concerned American living in the interior (CO), I'm glad to get the beat from real people about what is going on in our own country over this.
P.S. I really liked the "Free Palestine from Hamas" poster. That really made the most sense to me. Many Jews and Palestinians do want peace in Israel (I've actually been to the mideast). It's Hamas dragging this on.
