Salute to Israel Parade

Today I went to the Salute to Israel Parade on Fifth Avenue.
It was amazing!
Hundreds of thousands of people out on a beautiful day paying tribute.
So much joy! So much energy and love.

Okay, so maybe not everyone was having such a good time...
Tons more pictures, plenty of moonbats and other assorted haters in my slide show.

I decided to add a second slide show. Why not?

Great work!

I wish I could have been there to see the parade for myself.

Alas, I couldn't make it this year.

I also want to say that the New York City Police Department did an outstanding job keeping the parade and the crowds moving.

Excellent work by our men and women in blue!

What's up with those Rabbis? (I couldn't read their URL).

rogue,
Those Rabbis are opposed to the State of Israel. As far as I understand it, according to their reading of the Talmud, the Messiah has not returned and therefore they are against the creation of modern Israel.

Hopped over from Angel's sight to enjoy your parade photos. The weather was superb and lots of positive energy expressed. Outstanding concert afterwards in the park, to remind the whole that there is a Jonathan Pollard in prison, and three young men that were kidnapped need to be released.

Those rabbis are from the group who visited the PM of IRAN at the Holocaust Deniers Party.
U know what they're like?!?

A friend of mine once said there were 56 Muslim countries, not counting France and occupied Northern California. And here in occupied northern california- we could only dream of 100,000 showing up in support of Israel. But I'd like to share something really nice that happened a few weeks ago- a group of Israel activists were squaring off against a group on anti-israel activists. Mostly a lot of glaring and glowering- not too exciting. Then the rabbi of the local conservative synagogue marched down with his entire congregation. The rabbi played his guitar and sang songs and prayers of peace. It was unbelievably beautiful and quite moving. The response of the anti-Israel forces? They called the police! After all, what could be more threatening than a young rabbi singing prayers for peace on Shabbat?

Looks like you had a great day for the parade. Nothing worse than a parade on a rainy day. A lot of great pictures. Why are so many Hasidic Jews against the state of Israel? Is that a misconception on my part?

I do see the same idiot with the black jacket and Kafiyeh from 14th street. This is a sick and deranged nut who runs around claiming anyone who disagrees with him is a Mossad agent.

He has made silly claims that a 70 plus year old lawyer has tried to assasinate him. Maybe he will hit him with an oversized legal claim.

Beak,
I know exactly who you are talking about. He's at every protest.

When we crashed the candle light vigil in Union Square back in January he was there. He kept coming up to one member of my group over and over and over again shouting, 'Get away from me you awful person!' Run away and then come back again.

Cue Twilight Zone music.

His name is Tom and he thinks I am a CIA agent. He starts with the paranoid stuff claiming that any Jewish person is trying to kill him.

He is a barking MOOOOOON Bat

I am glad to see that so many True American's who still love and support Israel. For awhile there I was beginning to think there were not very many of us left on US soil.
Thank you all for this parade, I wish I could have been there holding the American and Israeli flag together side by side!
