Veterans Day Parade New York City
I went to the Veterans Day Parade today and had a great time. My father and his brother both served in the U.S. Army. Two of my mother's three brothers served in active duty in Viet Nam, one was a paratrooper and the other was in the jungles. I want to thank all of our wonderful men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces past and present for their unselfish and dedicated service to our nation.
It was a truly memorable parade. You couldn't help but get a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye watching those brave men and women go by. The bands, the drums, the soldiers old and young. It always get me right in the chest.

number one, number two, and number three.
Unfortunately at the last minute the anti-war groups 'Veterans for Peace' and the 'Abraham Lincoln Brigades' were allowed to march. And of course they brought along one of their trademark flag-draped coffins. As much I sincerely appreciate their service to our country, I don't want to see coffins. Here is a brief slide show of their presence today.
