Muslim Day Parade 2008

I went to the Muslim Day Parade today. It was much smaller in size and attendance than last year's. There were virtually no spectators lined along Madison Avenue for this event. Only the regular weekend tourists milling around on a beautiful day in midtown Manhattan.

Today, October 12 is the 8-year anniversary of the terrorist bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen. This guy brought his little black flag of Islamic jihad, again [like he did last year]. This same flag made another appearance later on down the road at the moronic Islamic Thinkers outpost a few blocks away. We'll get to that later on.

Here he is waving his jihad terrorist flag at the parade itself. I can't believe that the taxpayers of New York City are footing the bill for this.

What was this curious float about I wondered... Turned out to be Medina--the world's most expensive gas station.

Yep, the Saudis. Just a regular bunch of Yankee Doodle Dandies, alright.

Then there were some non-Obama voters.

The protest signs ruffled quite a few feathers among the parade-goers. As they passed heated exchanges flew. Cries of 'no Sharia in America' were met with 'takbir!' [which means 'expansion'] and 'allahu akbar!' Here's the video below.

This guy who is a member of the Islamic Thinkers Society [a radical group of nincompoops bordering on being seriously dangerous] called a female passerby who got into the fray a whore. So she tossed her cup of coffee at him. There was a bit of a scuffle and the cops moved in quickly to control the situation. Here's the video below.

And what Muslim Day Parade would be complete without the stylings of the festering Islamic Thinkers Society? Just drink it in, folks.

I also want to add that as much as the marchers objected to the foreign policy views of the conservative protesters, they had NO objection to the Islamic Thinkers signs--save for one lone man who confronted them.

Then there were these two signs pictured below that were on display at one of the booths at the street fair on 23rd Street and Madison where the parade ended.
