Riding Out the Storm
I live in Zone A, which is the mandatory evacuation zone, so I'm waiting out hurricane Sandy farther inland on higher ground. Hope everyone out there stays safe until this thing passes.
UPDATE: 10/30/12
Here are some pictures of what the city looks like tonight. All of lower Manhattan is completely blacked out from 14th Street all the way down to the tip of the island.
The Williamsburg Bridge is lit on the Brooklyn side halfway across and then at the midway point the Manhattan side goes completely dark.

Here above you can see the Con Edison building located at 13th Street, amazingly still lit after massive multiple explosions last night. Everything below it, including the Freedom Tower is dark. The couple of red lights that you see along the East River Drive are emergency vehicles as the road is closed.
